A powdered medical product, intended for the treatment and prevention of respiratory diseases of farm animals and birds. The drug visually is made as powder from light to dark brown. Dixam® powder is produced in packs of 25 g; 50 g; 75 g; 125 g in lidded plastic bottles or heat seal plastic bags.
High efficiency against all known pathogens of bactericidal, viral and fungal etiology.
Exposure to iodine vapor, painless for animals and birds, is one of the newest and most promising methods of drug administration.
There is no need to remove the worst livestock and poultry products — all productive qualities are preserved.
Dixam® powder contains 38% of iodine as an active ingredient, and amylum, sodium nitrate, talc as excipients.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Dixam® powder is classified as an antiseptic. Iodine, which is a part of the Dixam® powder, is a broad-spectrum agent against pathogens of bactericidal, viral and fungal etiology. Iodine vapors, which are formed during thermal sublimation, have a high penetrating ability and sanitizing effect.
Dixam® powder can be used for the prevention and treatment of respiratory diseases in cattle and small ruminants, pigs, agricultural poultry of bacterial, viral or fungal etiology: infectious bronchitis, avian influenza, infectious rhinotracheitis, rhinitis, bronchopneumonia, aspergillosis, laryngotracheitis and other mixed viral and bacterial infections.
Respiratory diseases shall be treated according to the following schemes:
a) the treatment of animals shall be carried out once every other day. The concentration of iodine vapor should be 20 mg / m3. In total, carry out 3-4 treatments. The exposure time is 20-30 min. To achieve the specified concentration, use Dixam® powder at a rateof:

b) the treatment shall be carried out once a day for 7 days in a row. The concentration of iodine vapors should be 10 mg / m3, followed by a three-day break. The exposure time is 30 min. 2-3 courses of treatment can be carried out per month. To achieve the specified concentration, use Dixam® powder at a rate of:

For air sanitation (prevention of respiratory diseases), the concentration of iodine vapors should be 10 mg / m3 .
The use of Dixam® powder does not exclude the use of other drugs for etiotropic, pathogenetic and symptomatic therapy.
A contraindication to the use of the drug is the hyperthyroidism, as well as the individual hypersensitivity of animals to the components of the drug.
