DESCRIPTION

A medical product in tablets, intended for the treatment and prevention of respiratory diseases of farm animals and birds. The drug visually is made as a cylindrical tablet with a diameter of 18-20 mm without cracks and delamination, from light brown to black. Dixam® tablets are available packaged in 3, 5, 7, 10 pcs. in lidded plastic bottles; 50, 100, 200, 250 pieces in lidded glass or plastic jars.

INGREDIENTS

Dixam® tablets contain 38% of iodine as an active ingredient in 1 tablet, and as excipients (up to 100%) — amylum, potassium nitrate, talc. Tablet weight — 10 g.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Dixam® tablets are classified as an antiseptic. Iodine, which is a part of the Dixam® tablets, is a broad-spectrum agent against pathogens of bactericidal, viral and fungal etiology. Iodine vapors, which are formed during thermal sublimation, have a high penetrating ability and sanitizing effect.

INDICATIONS FOR USE

Dixam® tablets can be used for the prevention and treatment of respiratory diseases in cattle and small ruminants, pigs, agricultural poultry of bacterial, viral or fungal etiology: infectious bronchitis, avian influenza, infectious rhinotracheitis, rhinitis, bronchopneumonia, aspergillosis, laryngotracheitis and other mixed viral and bacterial infections.

METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

Treat espiratory diseases according to the following schemes:
а) the treatment of animals shall be carried out once every other day. The concentration of iodine vapor should be 20 mg / m3. To achieve the specified concentration, use Dixam® tablets at the following rate: 1 tablet per 190 m3. In total, 3-4 treatments are carried out. 20-30 min exposure.

b) the treatment shall be carried out once a day for 7 days in a row. The concentration of iodine vapors should be 10 mg / m3 (or 1 tablet per 380 m3), followed by a three-day break. 30 min exposure.

2-3 courses of treatment can be carried out per month.
For air sanitation (prevention of respiratory diseases), the concentration of iodine vapors should be 10 mg / m3 (or 1 tablet per 380 m3). Sanitation exposure time: 30 minutes. The use of Dixam® tablets does not exclude the use of other drugs for etiotropic, pathogenetic and symptomatic therapy.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

A contraindication to the use of the drug is the hyperthyroidism, as well as the individual hypersensitivity of animals to the components of the drug.
