DESCRIPTION

This medical product is a concentrated antiseptic solution intended for preparing a
working solution for treating the teats and udders of cows before milking in order to cleanse dirt, disinfect, soften and nourish the skin of the teats by spraying, wiping, dipping. The drug visually is made as a transparent liquid of light yellow color. Gikor-D is released in packs of 1, 5, 10 or 20 liters in plastic screw-top cans; 200 l each in plastic barrels.

BENEFITS

Effectively destroys bacteria on the teat skin surface of the cow's udder and prevents their penetration into the teat canal.

Chlorhexidine (chlorhexidine bigluconate solution) is considered to be the best broad-spectrum antiseptic for external use.

There is no need to remove the worst livestock products — all productive qualities are preserved.

INGREDIENTS

Gikor-D contains 1.6% of chlorhexidine bigluconate [1-6-Di- (parachlorophenyl-guanido) -hexane bigluconate] as active ingredient, and glycerin, sorbitol, Berol DGR 81 and drinking water as excipients .

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Gikor-D belongs to antiseptic drugs. Chlorhexidine bigluconate effectively destroys bacteria on the teat skin surface of the cow's udder (including pathogens of mastitis: Streptococcus agalactiae, Staphilococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus vulgaris, Enterococcus hirae, etc.) and prevents their penetration into the teat canal.

INDICATIONS FOR USE

Gikor-D can be used for antiseptic treatment of the teats of the cow’s udder before milking in order to prevent mastitis.

METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

The drug shall be used externally in the form of aqueous solutions. Before processing, prepare a working solution of the drug by mixing Gikora-D with drinking water in a ratio of 1: 200 (50 ml of Gikora-D per 10 liters of solution). Apply the prepared solution of Gikora-D to the teat skin before milking by immersing the teat in a container. Treatment shall be carried out by completely immersing the teat in a container for at least ¾ of the length or by spraying with a mechanical spray. Use a clean treatment container and spray equipment. Wipe treatments shall be carried out with napkins dipped in Gikor-D. Wipe the udder and teats with a wet napkin. Use one napkin per animal.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

A contraindication to the use of the drug is the individual hypersensitivity of animals to the components of the drug.
